People turn up 5 minutes before the class begins to choose there spot and get comfortable.
I will start the class, usually with mantra and a warm up. The postures will start slow and build progressively creating heat in the body. These postures include standing postures, forward bends, back bends, spinal twists, inverted and balance postures. The postures aim to build strength by deepening flexibility, challenging balance and creating space for introspection.
The class then ends with a period of deep relaxation, savasana and meditation.
Do not eat a large amount of food an hour or two before the class. It is best to arrive 5 minutes before class, as you may not be allowed enter once the class begins.

Many people come to do yoga just for this reason. They become more body confident, learn to listen to their body, and how to move in a way that feels good for them. Releasing tension, stiffness and any aches. Over time, you will build more strength and become more flexible. Even after one class people can notice the difference.
Yes, yoga can be really beneficial for back problems and other injuries.
If you do have an injury, it is essential to let the teacher know beforehand and to be extremely gentle ensuring you don't push beyond your ability in the postures.

Let's work together to keep you safe!
You can still practice yoga when you are pregnant, but not all breathwork and yoga poses are suitable and safe for pregnancy. To ensure you and your baby are nourished and safe, you should talk directly to your yoga teacher to create a plan.
A pregnancy specific class may be more suitable to best prepare you for the birth.
